Jimmy Calvert age 75, passed away Tuesday, December 26, 2023 in Ardmore, OK. He was born March 20, 1948 in Littlefield, TX to the late Alfred "A.D" David Calvert and Gladys Calvert.
Jimmy attended Wewoka Public schools and worked as a driller for the oilfield for many years. He enjoyed fishing, golf, watching OU football, hunting, and spending time with his grandkids.
He is preceded in death by his parents; wife Saundra Calvert; sons, Kevin Calvert, Dean Calvert; brothers, Lloyd Scroggins, Tommy Calvert; and sisters, Shirley Johnson, Phyllis Vance.
Jimmy is survived by his sons, Gary Calvert and wife Kris of Wewoka, OK, Terry Calvert and wife Debby of Wewoka, OK, ; grandchildren, Kelly Calvert, Stephen Calvert, Steven Calvert, Kristina Jensen, Matt Calvert, Kayla Calvert, Cody Coats, Cord Calvert; great-grandchildren, Cason, Parker, Trussin, Molly, Evelyn, DJ, Sy, Bristol, Lilly, Carson, Aubrie, Braxton, Michael, Cole; brother, David Calvert; sister, Marsha Sawyer, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Viewing will be from 1:00 P.M. - 7:00 P.M. Friday, December 29, 2023 and 9:00 A.M. - 7:00 P.M., Saturday, December 30, 2023, 1:00 P.M. - 5:00 P.M., Sunday, December 31, 2023 at Stout-Phillips Funeral Home in Wewoka, OK.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, January 2, 2023 at New Life Church in Wewoka, OK with Pastor Tommy Azlin officiating. Interment to follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Wewoka, OK.
Pallbearers: Steve Bollinger, Larry Scroggins, Christopher McDaniel, Steven Calvert, Jimmy Calvert, Stephen Calvert.
Honorary pallbearers: Donald Bryant, Terry Julian, Johnny Trimble.
