Faith & Family Funeral Services IncIt is with heavy hearts and profound love that we announce the passing of Jimmy Lee “Jim” Engleman Sr., a devoted follower of Christ, a steadfast family man, and a true servant at heart. He went home to be with the Lord on November 22, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family.
Born on November 20, 1942, Jim lived a life marked by kindness, humility, and a deep, unwavering faith. He loved the Lord with all his heart, and his gentle spirit reflected the compassion and grace he found in his Savior. Those who knew him witnessed daily the quiet strength of a man who walked closely with God.
Family was Jim’s greatest joy. He was a cherished husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather and great-grandfather. His face lit up in the presence of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, and he never missed an opportunity to share a laugh, a story, or a moment of wisdom with them. His legacy of love will continue to live on in their hearts.
Known for his generosity, Jim would give the shirt off his back to anyone in need. He believed in being the hands and feet of Christ, and he demonstrated that belief every day through acts of service, compassion, and selflessness. His kindness touched countless lives, leaving behind a ripple of goodness that will not soon fade.
He will be deeply missed by all who were blessed to know him, but we take comfort in knowing he is now resting in the peace and glory of his heavenly home.
He was blessed with a loving family that will carry on his memories—his devoted daughters, Jannie Mullin and her husband Jimbo, Susan Scott and her husband Wayne, and Gail Fontenot and her husband Curtis Sr. His sons, Jimmy Engleman, Jr. and his wife Megan, along with William Engleman and his wife Jessica, keep his spirit alive in the stories they share and the values they carry forward.
Jimmy's warm heart extended to his brother, Henry Engleman, who, along with the numerous grandchildren he adored, played a significant role in his life. His grandchildren, Jessica Smylie and her husband Mark, James Mullin and his wife Kaylee, Jeana Mullin and her husband Brandon Pedroza, Jacob Mullin, Jimmy Mullin, Randy Scott and his wife Katrina, Chelsea Scott, Zoie Rothenberger and her husband Luke, Bryce Engleman and his wife Sarah, Caleb Cantrell and his wife Nayely, Kiley Johnson, Jaden Engleman, Curtis Fontenot Jr., Eden Fontenot, and Khloe Fontenot, will forever cherish the lessons of love and resilience he taught them. The joy he found in his great-grandchildren—Carmen Smylie, Lorelei Smylie, Luke Smylie, Asher Smylie, Penelope Smylie, Logan Smylie, Kinsley Mullin, Maverick Mullin, Paisley Mullin, Charlie Scott, Zackery Scott, Braydon Scott, Dustin Scott, Colton Pedroza, and Stoney Rothenburger, radiated throughout his life, filling him with an abundance of happiness.
Though he is reunited with his beloved wife, Patricia, along with his parents John Louis and Lottie Engleman, and siblings, Raymon, Johnny, Judy, Elizabeth, Katie, and Betty Lou, as well as grandsons, Tyler Scott, and Dustin Scott his memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends. His legacy is one of boundless love, laughter, and cherished moments that will continue to bring smiles even in his absence.
A visitation will be held on November 28, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM, followed by a funeral service starting at 12:00 PM, both at Faith & Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas where friends and family are invited to gather, share memories, and honor a life well lived and as soul well loved. Jimmy will then be laid to rest at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Kountze, Texas.
