Jimmy Guy Grisham

Jimmy Guy Grisham, 87, of Morris Chapel, TN, passed away Tuesday, December 23rd, at Adamsville Health & Rehab.

Jimmy was born September 7, 1938 in Hardin County to the late Lemuel and Amanda Grisham.He spent much of his life in the Morris Chapel area. He worked at various jobs throughout Hardin County including owning and operating a poolhall in Morris Chapel for a while. He worked with TDOT in the 1970's and 1980's. He was a well known and respected pillar of his community and dedicated his time serving as a County Commissioner for many years.

Jimmy is survived by his wife, of over 57 years, Brenda Moody Grisham, of Morris Chapel; two daughters, Amanda (Jordan) Harris, of Morris Chapel; Phillis Breedlove, of Morris Chapel;
three sons, Jimmy Lynn Grisham, of Sardis; Tim (Shelia) Grisham, of Morris Chapel; Randy (Darlene) Grisham, of Beech Bluff.
He is also survived by His Grandchildren - Travis Harris, Theodore Harris, Peyton Harris, Gracelynn Harris, Cheyanne (Dustin) Martin, Stevey (Crystal) Grisham, Brandy (Johnny) Anderson, Jason (Rose) Breedlove, Ginger (Jeremy) Mancell, Randy Joe Breedlove and Pete Grisham; and 13 Great-Grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Lemuel and Amanda Grisham, his oldest son, Stevie Grisham and all his brothers,Roy, Dendon, Lendon, Lemuel Lee Jr., Bobby, Freddy Grisham and all his sisters, Lois Chalk, Demova Gibbs, Dovie Beckham, Marie Long and Katy Jordan.

Jimmy had a love for Jesus and studying the word of God. He dearly loved his wife, Brenda and the rest of his family. He loved to coon hunt in his younger days, a hobby he inherited from his father. You could often find him discussing politics with family and friends. He enjoyed talking on the CB radio and aggravating his friends and loved ones.
If he could tell us one thing right now other than "I love you," it would be "you make sure it isn't raining when you have my service, I'm not getting out in that mess!' He doesn't have to worry because, the family was sure to check the weather.

His Funeral Service will be held at Saltillo Pentecostal Church at 11 AM on Saturday, December 27th, with Nathan Reeves and Claude Grisham officiating. Burial will follow in Lebanon Cemetery.
Visitation is Friday 5 PM - 9 PM and Saturday 9 AM until service at Saltillo Pentecostal Church.
