Jimmy Lewis Hathcock

Jimmy Lewis Hathcock, 82, of Stanfield, passed away Monday, November 10, 2025, peacefully at his home in Stanfield.

Jim was born February 28, 1943, in North Carolina to the late John Ralph Hathcock and the late Vernia Marie Hathcock.

He was also preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Jean Hathcock, and sister, Trina Marie Hathcock Robertson.

Jim loved his family, friends, working in his yard/garden and hanging out in his shop working on numerous projects. Retiring after a 57 year career as a barber, he was known to still cut a head, or two, in his shop between projects.

The family will receive friends from 1:15 pm - 1:45 pm, Sunday, November 16, 2025 at Philadelphia Baptist Church, 12568 Philadelphia Church Rd., Stanfield . The funeral service will be at 2:00 pm. officiated by Dr. Rev. Travis Baker. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Survivors include sons, Avery Todd (Lisa) Hathcock of Charlotte, NC, and Marty Allen Hathcock, of Stanfield, NC; granddaughters, Lindsay Hathcock, and Kendall (Imané) Hathcock; great-granddaughter, Aubrey (little bit) Scott, all of Fort Mill, SC; and brother, Terry (Janet) Hathcock of Marshville, NC.
