Mr. Hughie was born February 17, 1954 in Atlanta, Georgia to Mr. James Edward Hughie, Sr. and Mrs. Bobbie Hannah Mote Hughie. Mr. Hughie worked as a linesman for ANZSCO. He was also a foreman.
Mr. Hughie was preceded in death by; His Parents, Mr. and Mrs. James Edward (Bobbie Hannah Mote) Hughie, Sr.; Brother in Law, Mr. Joe Blalock.
Mr. Hughie is survived by: Son, Mr. Shane Hughie; Daughter, Ms. Sheree Hughie Mitchell; Son, Mr. Jeff Hughie; Grandchildren, Elexus Eagle, Dakota Mitchell, Madison Mitchell, Skylen Hughie, James Hughie and Heaven Mitchell; Great Grandchildren, River Eagle, Raiden Eagle, Novah Eagle, Rolland Eagle and Rebel Eagle; Sisters, Jan Hulsey (Johnnie), Jennie Zahn (Nick), Pam Blalock and Cindy Drew (Philip); Nieces and Nephews.
Funeral Services for Mr. Hughie will be held Saturday, August 26, 2023, 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home Chapel. Rev. Don Rackley will officiate. Interment will follow at Powell Chapel Methodist Church in Villa Rica, Georgia.
Visitation of Mr. Hughie will be Saturday, August 26, 2023, 10:00 A.M. - 2:00 P.M. at Benson Funeral Home.
