He was retired from O'Riley's Auto Parts, serving many years in deliveries of parts.
He is survived by his wife, JoAnne Brewer of the home; daughter, Melinda Monk and husband, Frank Jennings Jr; stepsons, Alan Dalton, Stacy Dalton and fianceé, Kathy Thomas and Andy Dalton and girlfriend, Chris Rigney; special caregiver, Derrick Miller all of Galax, VA; grandchildren, Skylar Rose Monk, Autumn Starr Monk and Dawson Dalton; step grandchildren, Noah Jennings and Jocelyn Jennings; several cousins also survive.
A Funeral Service will be held Tuesday, October 26, 2021 at High Country Services beginning at 3pm. Rev. Doug Flemming and Rev. Elvis Poole will officiate. The family will receive friends Monday, October 25, 2021 at High Country Services from 6pm until 7pm.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made in his honor to the charity of donors choice.
