Janett Elizabeth Melton

Mrs. Janett Melton, 82, of Galax VA passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025 at her home. She was born on October 5, 1943 to the late Fletcher Hanks and Wilma King Hanks. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Melton.
She is survived by her daughter, Treva Osborne of Galax, VA; sons, Pernell Melton and Dickie Melton and wife, Lora all of Galax, VA; grandchildren, David Osborne, Angel Osborne-Roberson and husband, Chad, Tiffany Melton and significant other, Dakota Proco; great grandchildren, Alexis Mosley and Carson Roberson; several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
A funeral service will be held on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at High Country Services beginning at 2:00pm with Doug Fleming and Phil Hawks officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 1:00pm until 2:00pm. Burial will follow in the Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Woodlawn, VA.
