Jimmy Charles Lundy, 81, of Lampasas, passed away peacefully on November 3, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family members. He was born on April 18, 1944, in Philadelphia, Mississippi, to Sydney Clay Lundy and Katherine McKee Lundy.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Sneed-Carnley Funeral Chapel in Lampasas on Saturday, November 8, 2025, at 12 pm. Following the service, family and friends are invited to a luncheon at Christ the Rock Church in Lampasas.

Early in life, Jimmy and his family moved to Mobile, Alabama, and this is when he became part of the “Roll Tide” cult. Jimmy graduated from high school in 1962 and then immediately joined the United States Air Force. During his time in the service, he was stationed in Vietnam, Korea, and Italy. Jimmy retired after 21 years of faithful service to our country in 1983, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant.

Jimmy’s main passions in life, aside from his family, was watching college football. He was very passionate about his Alabama Crimson Tide. He also enjoyed playing poker, fishing, and was devout in his faith to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Jimmy is survived by his wife of 32 years, Clara Lundy; his children, Tammy Thiele, Bonnie and Mike Kwan, and Brian Lundy; his stepchildren, Shane Peters and Shannon and David Lancaster; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, Tiffany, Peyton, Mya, Mary Shae and Harrison Hooper, Matthew and Zoe Lancaster, Presley, Lexi, Cierra and Luis Valor and Ethan; his brother, Steve and Cindy Lundy and several nieces and nephews.
