Mr. Jimmy Merle

Jimmy passed in peace Monday May 27, 2019 at the age of 72. Devoted son of late Norman and Rose Merle. Loving father of Nicole C. Merle. Grandfather of Amy Flores, Paul F. Lewis, and Nicholas E. Merle. Godfather of Jennifer Merle and Jenny Wilson. Further survived by Timothy Linke, David Lee Ebbing, Jacqueline Merle, and Jessica Merle. Preceded in death by his brother Jack Merle. Special acknowledgements to the Lamkin family, Laura Whaley, and Marilyn Lopata for being the best neighbors to Jimmy for over twenty years and for all of the wonderful years of close relations. Jimmy will be fondly remembered by his family and friends, for his devotion, compassion, knowledge, and most of all, adventurous spirit. Proud patriot and U.S. Army veteran. A burial will be held at 12 PM on July 26, 2019 at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery located at 20953 W Hoff Rd, Elwood, IL 60421; all family and friends are welcome to attend. As Abraham Lincoln is a National Cemetery and runs on a very tight schedule, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early.
