Jimmy "Jim" "Jim Pa" Don Milholen of Rogers, died on August 22, 2025. Jim was born August 17, 1944, in Hot Springs, Arkansas. Jim was preceded in death by his wife of 56 years, Nancy Karen (KK) Milholen; his parents, Ernest and Gertie Milholen; two brothers, Ray and Charlie Milholen; and sisters Marcel Abernathy, Aleta Winston and Marie Pittman. Jim is survived by his son Steven Milholen (Angie), daughters Michele Curran (Mark) and Allison Milholen, Michele and Mark's children James, Declan, Mary Kendall, Liam and Tatum; Steven and Angie's children Quaid, Grady and Seager; and Allison's children James Lindsey, Greer, Loren Flora, and Ava Giada; one brother Rick (Sandy) Milholen, as well as many beloved nieces and nephews, Emily (Blake) McCord and children Libby, Kate and Reed and Sarah (Scotty) Burgess, and adopted grandson Jaliil Swope. Jim grew up in Hot Springs where he was a distinguished high school football player – all-state on a non-winning team. He graduated from Arkansas State Teachers College (now UCA) and then received his doctorate from pharmacy school at UAMS. After graduating, he and his wife, KK, moved to Rogers, where they made the community their home and raised their family. He had a long career as a pharmacist in Rogers, most notably caring for countless customers at Consumers. Jim was also a long-serving member of the Little Flock City Council. Jim was a long-time member of Central United Methodist Church Rogers, where he especially enjoyed enhancing his strong Christian faith with fellow members of the Community Sunday school class. While cancer and a stroke curtailed his attendance in recent years, he often spoke with admiration for his Sunday School friends. Jim was a founding member of Ducks Unlimited Benton County and an avid hunter and snow skier in the mountains of Colorado. He was also a founding member of the Brimstone Ski Team, a rag tag bunch who looked forward to their annual treks to Colorado, most frequently Durango. The "team" put fun over form, although Jim had great skiing form, too. One of his friends said of Jim, "He was a good guy, funny, smart and good friend. We had some great times." A legacy of which to be proud. A graveside service will be held at Peak Cemetery in Royal, Arkansas, on Friday, August 29 at 11:00. Pallbearers will be James Lindsey Milholen, Mark Curran, Blake McCord, Scotty Burgess, Tom Rowe, Larry Barentine, Jack Troupe and Greer Marler. A memorial service will be held at Central United Methodist Church in Rogers, Arkansas, on Monday, September 1 at 11:00. The family will greet family and friends at 10:30 before the service. Honorary pallbearers are John Holland, Pete Parenti, George Nunnally and Howard Slinkard. A special thank you to the staff at Village on the Parks Rogers and to Dr. Tucker, Dr. Samples and the staff of the Swingbed Unit at Ozark Community Hospital in Gravette for the compassion and care given in recent weeks. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Northwest Arkansas Children's Shelter https://nwacs.org/donate/ or Central United Methodist Church Rogers.
