Jimmy “Jim Nick” Nickerson, aged 50, of Worcester passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 18, 2024.
Born in Worcester on December 23, 1973, to Jimmy Porter and Helen Nickerson. Raised in Worcester, Jimmy attended North High School where he was Known for his basketball skills, as well as his skills on the dance floor (TMP). Boxing at the Ionic Boy’s Club was one of his favorite memories from his younger years. Jim’s loves included doing anything with family, friends and music.
Jim cherished his family and friends, always the life of the party. He was known for his handsome smile, his passion for “the game”, and his funny charismatic personality.
Jim is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Keri (Allen) Nickerson; his loving children, Jimmy Nickerson, Keyarah Nickerson, and Damarion Carlos; his brothers, Jason Nickerson, Jeremy, Calvin, Laderrius, Mondrel; his sisters, Jennelle Humphrey, Sheila, Teresa, Dixie, Joya, Tiffany, Alisha, Jeylessa, LaJohnagan, Sonya; his stepdaughters(Grandchildren), Sarah (Jordyn and Avery), Brooke (Yadaliz, Javien, and Niyah), and Emma (Damien); his nieces and nephews, Shanequa (Neyalei), Jayson, Desmaray (Demari), Jidayis, J’leah, Lexi and her husband Rae’sae (Micah and Tru), Jamir, Lyfe, Unique and her husband Damon, Sr. (Damon, Jr., Unity, and Daxton), Joey (Joey), Jaizé, Joely, and Nasir. Jim is also survived by many cousins and extended family.
Jim is predeceased by his mother, Helen Nickerson; his stepfather, Herbert Larry “Telf” Telfor; and his brother, Joey Nickerson.
A period of Calling Hours will be held for Jimmy on Friday, August 30, 2024, from 4:00pm to 6:00pm at MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. A Funeral Service for Jimmy will begin promptly at 6:00pm.
A Celebration of Life for Jim will be held Sunday, September 1, 2024, from 4:00pm to 8:00pm at Vernon Hill American Legion Post, 267 Providence Street, Worcester, MA.
