I got to know Jim in high school. We sat next to each other in a class in our senior year (I can't remember which class it was) and we had a lot of laughs together, usually at inappropriate times that made the teacher glare at us. We met up ten years ago at our 50th high school reunion, and he reminded me of all the things we had laughed at. Jimmy was one of the good guys whose company I enjoyed. I was saddened to learn of his passing. My sympathies to his family.

Jimmy was my bridge idol, but much more importantly, a good friend for many years. Such a positive influence. David

Sad to hear about Jimmy the "Saint". Miss the poker, the over unders, the parleys and the laughs.. I'm sure Johnny M will have a new game when you get together... God Speed Jimmy the Saint... Thoughts and prayers to you Lee, girls & family. Ula

I had the great pleasure to meet Lee and Jimmy while Calli was a toddler, prior to Robyn´s birth.
I so treasure the relationship with all of the Payne´s. I will miss the twinkle in his eyes, with such a genuine smile, albeit mischievous, most of the time.
His stories/pranks/funny predicaments are legendary! His kindness lives on, his love for his "girls", and he loved being Hapa to his 4 fortunate Grands.
The Universe received a special soul, and he will continue sending his love to your family.
Holding so much love and space for you in my heart, for Lee, Calli and Robyn.
Jimmy, rest in power, love and light
