Jimmy was born October 19, 1974 in St. Joseph, Michigan. He lived most of his life in Benton Harbor area, and attended Watervliet High School. Jimmy was a hard worker and worked at Summit Polymers for over 20 years as a supervisor and plastic mold injector. In 1996 he married the love of his life Gina Whittker and they had three children. Jimmy enjoyed spending his free time hunting, fishing, golfing, and spending time with friends and family.

Jimmy is survived by: three children Zander (Alexis) Polus, Tiara Polus, and Livia Polus; a grandchild Charlotte Roberson; his mom Debra (Don) Benjamin; a sister Candy Roberts; a step-sister Tanya Saffell-Beach; a step-brother Shawn Saffell; his exwife Gina Whittker; a nephew Kyle Roberts; a niece Brittany Roberts; and his best friends Vince Perrone and Spencer King.

Jimmy died Sunday, November 9, 2025, at Bronson Methodist Hospital in Kalamazoo. He is preceded in death by his dad Tom Polus, grandparents Doy and Bonnie Schuemake, and an uncle David Shuemake

Hutchins Funeral Home is assisting Jimmy's family with cremation and there are not services planned. You are invited to leave a message of comfort.
