Jimmy "Simon" Burell Polson

Jimmy Burell “Simon” Polson, 66, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his family Wednesday, December 14, 2022.  Born, July 9, 1956, in Cheraw, SC, he was a son of the late Belton and Ola Bee Tucker Polson.  He retired from Carolina Canners in Cheraw, SC and was a member of Patrick Presbyterian Church in Patrick, SC.  Simon was a family man and enjoyed spending time with his family.

 

Along with his parents, listed above, Simon was preceded in death by a brother, William Belton “Buck” Polson; a sister, Evelyn Walters; a granddaughter, Alaina Polson; and a sister-in-law, Sheila Polson.

 

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife of 34 years, Sherry Walters Polson of the home; a son, Jamie Polson (Jodie); a daughter, Deana Price (Charlie); brothers, John Polson, and Scotty Walters (Melody); a sister, Mary P. Tolson (Alvin); a sister-in-law, Bonnie Polson; grandchildren, Dylan Price, Hunter Wilkes, Journey Guinn, Jace Polson, Jaxon Polson, and Jordan Polson; a great-granddaughter, Analisse Price; special friends, Jr. Tolson, David Rivers, and Carl Gleich; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, and nephews.

 

A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 18, 2022, at Patrick Presbyterian Church in Patrick, SC.  Burial will follow in Patrick Cemetery in Patrick, SC.

 

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 17, 2022, at Kiser Funeral Home in Cheraw, SC.
