Jimmy Dean Snyder, 58 of rural Hay Springs passed away on Friday, September 19, 2025 at St. Anthony's Hospital in Lakewood, CO.

He was born on February 25, 1967 to Paul A. and Geraldine "Jeri" (Taylor) Snyder. He grew up in Alliance with his younger sister, Paula.

Jimmy attended and graduated from Alliance Public Schools. He was a self-employed trucker and custom hay hauler. He also previously had worked for BNSF, Nebraska Department of Roads and in farming.

Jimmy loved to race his stock-car, visit with family and friends whether in person or on the phone. He never knew a stranger. He loved his dogs and raising cattle and pigs.

He was preceded in death by his dad, Paul, his brother, Troy, grandparents, Carl and Elizabeth Snyder and Harold and Eva Taylor along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.

Jimmy is survived by his mother, Jeri Snyder, his sister, Paula (Pete) Mapes of Hay Springs, his nephew, Anthony Snyder his great-nephew, Draco Woolson, his aunt, Barbara Snyder and numerous cousins. He is also survived by his special friend, Eldon Kramer and best friends, Todd Snyder and Jim Fuller and his second mother, Sherri Cavender.

Memorials may be sent in care of his family to 1228 Duncan Avenue, Alliance, NE 69301 for a future designation.

A Celebration of Life will be Saturday, October 18, 2025 from 1-5 p.m. at the Alliance Eagles Club.
