Jimmy Earl Sutton

Jimmy Earl Sutton, age 74, of Morrilton, Arkansas, passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. He was born February 21, 1943, in Morrilton, a son of the late George Earl Sutton and Eva Lou Millsap Sutton. He was in the United States Navy from 1961-1965. Jimmy was on the Morrilton City Council for four years prior to being Mayor of Morrilton for eight years. He was an insurance representative for Hawkins Insurance Agency and was honored by the Million Dollar Round Table for exceptional insurance sales production, as well as being awarded Top Agent in Arkansas for Allstate Finance, Inc. He was a mason, shriner, and a member of Calvary Baptist Church. Survivors include his brother, Carl Sutton and wife Nelda of Morrilton; sister, Linda Graves and husband Urban of Solgohachia; two daughters, Lori Atkinson and husband Daryl of Longview, Texas, and Kemi Roland of Conway; two grandchildren, Katelin Roland and Blair Atkinson both of Nashville, Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 25, 2017 at the Harris Chapel with Bro. Sonny Harvison officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Arrangements are by Harris Funeral Home of Morrilton.
