Jimmy White Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Miller Funeral Home on Aug. 28, 2025.

Publish in a newspaper

Jimmy D. White, 93, of Maryville, TN, entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on August 27, 2025. Born in Kodak, TN, to Willis Clay White and Belva Rose DeLozier White on September 23, 1931, Jimmy lived a full life marked by unwavering faith in God, deep love for his family, and service to others.

Jimmy proudly served in the United States Air Force during the Korean War and later dedicated his career to South Central Bell before retiring. His true passion was studying and teaching God's Word. A gifted teacher and devoted servant, he lived out his faith daily with fierce steadfastness.

He was married to the love of his life, Norma Jean White, for 67 years - a marriage built on faith, commitment, and enduring love.

Jimmy loved gardening, woodworking, and spending time in God's creation, but nothing meant more to him than spending time with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. He was an incredibly loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend to all.

He leaves behind his beloved wife of 67 years, Norma Jean White; his children: Debbie White Johnson (Dean), David White (Kelly), and Robert White (Tiffany); grandchildren: Lauren Johnson, Lindsay Johnson, Leah Johnson, Chandler White, Caitlin White Dando (Gabe), Robby White, and Rory White; and great-grandchildren: Grace White, Mattie White, and Boone White. He is also survived by his sister, Carolyn Stubblefield, and many cherished nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willis Clay White and Belva Rose DeLozier White, and his siblings: Mildred Cruze, L.C. White, Charlotte Kirkland, and John White.

Those who knew Jimmy will remember him as a faithful man - faithful to God, to his family, and to his calling. His dedication, wisdom, and loving spirit have left a lasting legacy for generations to come.

"Children's children are the crown of old men; and the glory of children are their fathers." - Proverbs 17:6

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, August 30, 2025, at Mount Lebanon Baptist Church at 3:00 PM. A Celebration of Life service will follow at Everett Hills Baptist Church at 4:30 PM.
