Jimmy Wiggins

Mr. Jimmy Floyd Wiggins, 86, of Sylvania, GA, passed away Monday, May 12, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center surrounded by his loving family. Jimmy was born into a family of twelve children in Jenkins County. He married Vivian Timms Wiggins of Sylvania, where they built a life together for 64 years. He is survived by his wife Vivian and their children, Jim Wiggins (Tom Williams) all of Sylvania and Tami and Dutch Heidler of Greensville, SC, and a daughter-in-law, Pam Powell Wiggins. He is the grandfather of five grandsons and their families. Jimmy is a brother to Dolly W. Welch of Garland, TX. Annette W. Blocker of Summerville, SC, Claudia W. Watson of Charleston, Glenda and Bill Dailey of Leesville, SC and a brother Gene and Bonnie Wiggins of Millen. He leaves behind dozens of loving nieces and nephews to mourn is death.
Everyone knew him as Mr. Jimmy. He loved "making music", hunting, fishing and sports and excelled at all of them. As a young boy he dreamed of how to play the bass to get out of picking cotton. Jimmy began to play gigs with his brothers known as the Lonesome Pine Boys. By the age of twelve he had his own live radio show on WJAT which aired from the stage of the Nancy Auditorium in Swainsboro, GA. Members of his Fan Club said he was the Donny Osmond of their day.
As of late, he could be found in his garden. Even with all his health issues he kept us in tomatoes, okra, and peas, none of which could have been possible without his running buddy, Mr. Edward Fulcher. Jimmy even threw two concerts from his back deck in March and April of this year. He was walking in his garden on Sunday, then walking in heaven on Monday. He lived a full and wonderful life.
Jimmy loved his church family at Antioch Church. You could set your watch by his visits to his wall's Diner Coffee Club.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM at Antioch Christian Church in Sylvania, GA.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM at Antioch Christian Church.
Interment will follow in the Antioch Christian Church Cemetery.
