Jitendra V. Kapadia

With profound sadness, we announce the passing of Jitendra V. Kapadia, a spirited and supportive gentleman who touched countless lives with his presence. Born on December 26, 1946, in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, India, Jitendra was a captivating soul who lived his life to its fullest. His journey from his birthplace to South Brunswick Township, New Jersey, was marked by incredible accomplishments and relationships that he cherished deeply. Jitendra was a man of considerable talent, with a profound love for health, cricket, and food that was reflected in his lifestyle and conversations.

Jitendra was a smart and talented professional who served as a Respiratory Therapist at Rahway Hospital, Rahway, NJ. His dedication towards his work was admirable, and he retired in 2012 after making a difference in countless lives, a testament to his commitment and love for his profession. In his spare time, he had a passion for photography, capturing moments of beauty and joy through his lens. His photos were not merely pictures but a montage of memories that his family will cherish forever. In the words of Marc Riboud, "Taking pictures is savoring life intensely, every hundredth of a second."

Jitendra was a beloved father, grandfather, and a friend to all who knew him. He is survived by his children, Falgun (Nishit) Shah, and Purvi (Nayan) Kapadia-Jethva, and his son-in-law, Nayan (Purvi) Jethva. His legacy continues to live on through his grandchildren Jay Jethva, Rohan Shah, Rahul Shah, and Jia Jethva, who will remember their grandfather as a pillar of strength, wisdom, and unconditional love. Jitendra was preceded in death by his parents, Vadilal and Lilavati Kapadia, and his beloved wife, Hansa Kapadia.
