Jo Allphin Obituary

Published by Legacy on Oct. 20, 2025.
Jo Ann Allphin
1949 ~ 10/16/2025
With deep love and gratitude for her life, we announce the passing of Jo Ann Allphin, a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, friend and faithful servant of Christ. Jo Ann went home to be with her Lord and Savior on October 16, 2025, surrounded by her husband, Ralph, and family.
Jo Ann was born in Alamosa, Colorado on January 15, 1949, to Richard and Wanda Vernon. In 1952, her family moved to the Kittitas Valley, the place she would call home for the rest of her life.
It was here that Jo Ann met the love of her life, Ralph Allphin, in 1961. She was just 12 years old, and he was 14 when they went to a movie together-a simple outing that became the beginning of a lifelong love story. From that day forward, Jo Ann and Ralph walked hand in hand through every season of life, building a home filled with faith, love, and family.
Faith and family were the foundations of Jo Ann's world. A gentle and kind spirit, she lived a life centered around home, church, and caring for others. She dedicated many years to running a daycare, where she poured her heart into nurturing countless children in the community-many of whom still carry her love and guidance with them today. She also gave her time as a leader to both 4-H and Brownies.
Jo Ann was a soft-spoken woman whose quiet strength and compassion touched everyone she met. She enjoyed crafts, quilting, and cherished the joy and laughter with her grandchildren watching Disney movies. Her warm smile and laughter will be remembered always.
She is survived by her loving husband of many years, Ralph Allphin, her children; Tippy Cooper (Faren), Brandy Bradley, and Sky Allphin (Lonnie); her grandchildren Aaron Cooper, Michaela Bradley, Jacie Byquist (Nate), Mallori Dixon (Drew), Mitchell Bradley, Nathan Bradley, and Grace Allphin; her great-grandchildren Robin Evans, Bridger Dixon, and Beau Dixon; her siblings John Vernon, Beth Drutar, and Debbie Henne, closest cousin Roxie Pilliar and past son in law Larry Bradley. Jo Ann's legacy of love lives on in each of them. She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard Vernon and Wanda Kiehn, her sister, Judy Vernon, and her brother, Richard Vernon.
Her life was a testament to the values she held most dear-faith in God, dedication to family, and a heart for service. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her loved ones and the many friends and families she has touched through the years.
A celebration of Jo Ann's life will be held at the Kittitas Community Church on November 1, 2025 at 11:00AM, where family and friends will gather to honor her memory.
