Jo Ann MOHAN-TANNER

JO ANN TANNER Jo Ann Tanner, 73, passed away December 19, 2024, in Lincoln, Neb. Jo Ann was a 1969 graduate from Leavenworth High School. Jo Ann worked at Hallmark Cards until she joined the United States Air Force for a short term. She returned home and served as a police officer for Leavenworth Police Department. Jo Ann moved to Sacramento, Calif., where she worked for Sacramento Sheriff Department until she rejoined the United States Air Force. She graduated from college and became an officer in the Air Force until she retired. Subsequently, she went to work for the police department in Davis, Calif., until retirement. Jo Ann is survived by wife Necole Tanner, stepchildren Bryan Grantham, Jason Grantham and Necole Cory. Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents William and Catherine Mohan and her siblings: Eileen Chmidling, Ralph Mohan, Donald Mohan, Dennis Mohan and Charles Mohan. Memorial gravesite service: Friday, January 24, 2025, 12:30 p.m. at Fort Leavenworth National Cemetery. Attendees are requested to meet in the parking lot at Air Force Base Visitor Control Center on 1 Sherman Ave at 12:15 p.m. for an escort on to the base. A one time visitor pass is not required with the escort.
