Mrs. Jo Ann Wilson Nichols, 77, of Savannah, Georgia, passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026 at her home.
Jo Ann will be missed by her husband of 56 years, Tommy B. Nichols; daughters, Allison Steele and Lori White (Brian); son, Jon Nichols; ten grandchildren; one great-grandchild; sisters, Laquita Wheeler (Jackie) and Barbara Smiley; brothers, Michael Wilson (Donna) and Glen Wilson (Mary); sister-in-law, Lynn Wilson, as well as a number of nieces and nephews.
Jo Ann was preceded in death by her parents, J.C. and Georgia Mae Morgan Wilson, a brother, Mark Wilson, as well as her brother-in-law, Clarence Smiley. She was an avid golfer, enjoyed traveling overseas, but most of all, spending time with her family.
Jo Ann’s life will be celebrated with a memorial service on Saturday, April 11, 2026 at 11 a.m. at Trinity United Methodist Church located at 225 West President Street in Savannah, Georgia.
For those that wish, remembrances may be made to the Carter Center.
