Jo-Ann Watson, age 66, of Greenback, passed away peacefully at her home on July 22, 2025.

Born in Hartford, Connecticut in 1959, Jo-Ann made her home in Loudon County, where she built a life centered on family, community, and hard work. She was retired from the Cochran Family McDonald's in 2018, following a decade of service with the Loudon County Farm Bureau. Jo-Ann was known for her warm heart and the love she extended to those around her.

She was preceded in death by her brother, Peter Mott.

Jo-Ann is survived by her loving husband, Greg Watson; her children, Jason Watson and Jessica Watson; her parents, Paul and Carol Mott; her brother, Paulie Mott; and a large extended family including many cousins, nieces, nephews, and grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Jo-Ann truly understood that life's greatest treasures aren't found in material things, but in the moments we share, the adventures we take and the love we give others.

From her early days on the East Hartford swim team, Jo-Ann had a deep connection with water and nature. Whether she was going for a morning swim, gardening, water skiing, casting a line, gliding through calm waters in her kayak, or simply walking hand in hand with her loving husband along the ocean shoreline watching the sun paint the sky in brilliant colors. Camera in hand, she found peace and wonder in natures embrace.

She loved camping and was always prepared with snacks and first aid kits, and enjoyed biking around the cove or preparing a meal with family around the fire. She often spent weekends perusing farmers' markets, antique shops, yard-sales, and little country stores together with her husband collecting treasures and gifts for those she loved.

For 46 beautiful years, she shared this love of life with the man who was truly her perfect companion. Together, they didn't just witness sunsets, they collected them like precious memories, each one a testament to their enduring love and shared appreciation for life's simple, profound moments.

Her home was more than a house; it was a sanctuary where everyone felt welcomed and cherished. She had a remarkable gift of creating spaces that invited connection, where holiday meals became cherished traditions and ordinary gatherings transformed into treasured memories. She understood that the secret ingredient in every meal wasn't found in any recipe, it was the time shared between family and friends.

With her tripod always ready, she was our family's memory keeper, making sure that no gathering passed without capturing those fleeting moments together. Those photographs now serve as windows into the joy she created and preserved for all of us.

She was a loving and supportive mother and grand-mother, and frequently enjoyed watching her daughter perform at live shows, and her grandchildren's recitals. As a mother, wife, sister, daughter, aunt, and friend, she didn't just love, she loved with intention, with warmth and with an unwavering support that made everyone in her circle feel valued and understood. The mountains she hiked, the waters she explored, the grandchildren she adored, all were blessed by her presence. She lived with curiosity, loved without reservation, and left us with a legacy of connection, adventure, and joy.

She found wonder in nature's beauty, created spaces for love to flourish, and always made sure to capture and celebrate the precious moments we shared with those we hold dear.

Jo-Ann didn't just live life, she celebrated it, shared it, and made it more beautiful for everyone she touched.

The family will hold a visitation July 29, 2025, 4:00pm-6:00pm at McGill Click Funerals and Cremations with a service to follow at 6:00pm. Friends and family will meet at 9:30am on July 30, 2025, at McGill Click to follow in procession to Loudon County Memorial Gardens. There we will have a graveside service at 10:00am.

I worked with Jo-Ann at the McDonald's office. She was a good person to run into early because she was always in a good mood. That helped everyone's day be better. She was proud of her family and often had pictures. My wife, Nancy and I were touched by her kindness. We know she is in the loving arms of our Savior, Jesus Christ and is resting in peace.
