On Feb 26th, 2025, JoAnn Bemis, 82, of Seneca, South Carolina went to be with the Lord surrounded by her loving family on a beautiful sunny day.
JoAnn was born May 25, 1942, to Rudolph and Kathryn Williams in North East, PA. She married her beloved husband and high school sweetheart, Richard (Dick) Bemis, and they lived happily for 34 years before Dick's passing in 1994. Together, they had two children: Lynn (David) Rose and Mark (Debbie) Bemis.
She was a grandmother to four granddaughters: Nicole (Jon) Kennedy, Lauren (Tony) Dibo, Rachel (Steve) Moran and Hannah (Jesse) Larner. JoAnn was blessed with the love of six great-grandchildren, cousins and nieces and nephews.
She is survived by her sister, Mary Lou Hubbell of Union City, PA. In addition to her parents and husband, JoAnn is preceded in death by her sister, Nancy Kuhns of Corry, PA.
JoAnn Bemis, a beacon of love and kindness toward others, will forever reside in our hearts.
JoAnn's life will be celebrated at Greenfield Baptist Church on Sunday, March 2, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. until time of a funeral service at 2:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, a donation can be made in JoAnn's name to Greenfield Baptist Church at 9028 Williams Road, North East, PA 16248.
