Jo Ann Boggs

Jo Ann Boggs, 78, went home to be with her Lord May 30, 2025. She was born in Smithfield, OH to the late Joseph and Ereva (Starcher) Whittaker and was a Springfield High School graduate.

Jo Ann was extremely active in the community. She was a member of the Greensburg Church of God, Tool Box Ministries and the Akron Post Polio support group. She also worked for Act Now, the Akron Public Schools and Rebath. She had a quiet and calm demeanor and was always ready and willing to help others. She will be deeply missed.

She is survived by her husband, Tom; children Michelle, Matthew, Sharon and Stephen; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a host of relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 22, 2025 at 12:30 p.m. at Greensburg Church of God, 4691 Massillon Rd., Uniontown, OH 44232 with Pastor Bruce Wells officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Jo Ann's memory to Eckard Baldwin Funeral Home, 760 E. Market St., Akron, OH 44305, to assist with funeral expenses.
