Jo Lea Dennis, 70, of Altoona, passed away on Monday, May 26, 2025. She was born on July 19, 1954, daughter of the late Paul B. and Dora Mae (Marlett) Luke. Surviving is her son; Robert Jr. (Shunae); six grandchildren; Robert III, Tyra Craig, Patrick, Arial Craig, Manisha, and Noah; 2 great-grandchildren, Dominic and Declan Craig; three brothers, Patric, Robert, and Mark Luke; four sisters, Debbie Deyarmin, Peggy Farrell, Ella Kobel, and Cristie Richardson; two aunts, Rose Potter and Barbara Capute; and many nieces and nephews. Jo is also survived by her best friend, Roberta Hillard; and by her two dogs, Cinnamon and Molly. She was preceded in death by her brother, Paul H. Luke and by her grandson, Russell Dennis. Jo was a 1972 graduate of Altoona High School and had worked at Valley View Home and Maybrook Hills. She was a member of the Newburg Vol. Fire Co. Auxiliary and Big Brothers Big Sisters of Blair County. Jo enjoyed singing Karaoke. Friends and family will be received on Monday, June 2, 2025, from 10 a.m. until the noon funeral service at the funeral home; Rev. Dennis Kurdziel, officiant.
