Lowe, Jo Ann
ALBANY - Jo Ann "J-LO" Lowe, age 83, passed away, on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
Born in Albany, N.Y., to the late Andrew and Josephine Osterhout, Jo Ann worked as a clerk for NY Teachers' Retirement System. She was also a member of Castleton Firehouse and Holy Sprit Lutheran Church.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her significant other, Douglas Lebrecht; her son, Edward Lyons; and her brother, Raymond Osterhout.
She is survived by her daughter, Sharon (Dan Carson Sr.); sister, Diane McLean; granddaughter, Stephanie Carson; grandson, Dan Carson Jr.; and great-grandson, Clayton Carson.
Her funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 7, 2025, at Daniel Keenan Funeral Home, at 490 Delaware Ave., Albany, N.Y. 12209.
Visitation will be from 12:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, June 7, 2025, in the funeral home. Interment will follow at Holy Spirit Lutheran Cemetery, Glenmont. Online condolences may be offered at danielkeenanfuneralhome.com

Dear Sharon and Dan,

My sincerest condolences. I first met Jo Ann in 1979, and we became instant friends. She was kind, funny, and caring. And now she is at peace with the Lord. May God Bless her.
