Jo Anne Miuccio

Jo Anne Miuccio, 76, of Mt. Penn, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, November 10, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was the beloved wife of the late Joseph S. Miuccio, who preceded her in death on September 5, 2019.
Born in West Reading to the late Charles and Julia (Brunner) Weaver, Jo Anne grew up in Shillington and graduated from Governor Mifflin High School in 1966. She furthered her education at McCann Business School and went on to work as an administrative assistant before retiring in 2016, from the Reading Hospital Rehabilitation Center in Wyomissing.
Jo Anne's family was the cornerstone of her life. She selflessly prioritized the needs of her children, and her love and devotion to them were evident in all she did. Later in life, Jo Anne continued her own education, earning a 4.0 GPA and graduating from Reading Area Community College with honors at the age of 46 in 1995.
An enthusiastic lover of holidays, Jo Anne especially cherished Christmas, where her creativity and passion for detail were reflected in her decorations. She was a lively spirit, always staying busy and even through the last few years, assisted her daughter with her dance studio. Jo Anne had a deep love for the performing arts, particularly Broadway and musical theater, which brought her enormous joy throughout her life.
Jo Anne's memory will be cherished by her children: Samuel Miuccio of Mt. Penn, and Janice Miuccio, wife of Amanda Sutliff, of Breinigsville. She was also a proud and devoted "Nana" to her grandchildren, Landon and Asher.
A funeral service for Jo Anne will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at the Edward J. Kuhn Funeral Home, Inc., 739 Penn Ave, West Reading, PA 19611, followed by interment at Forest Hills Memorial Park. A viewing will take place on Thursday, November 14, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., and again on Friday, from 9:00 a.m. until the service begins.
