Jo Ann Moore, 86, of Angier, NC, passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord Jesus on Sunday October 5, 2025. She was at home and surrounded by her children and grandchildren.
Born in Clayton, NC, Jo Ann was the daughter of the late Joseph and Annie Moore. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband David Hensdale, daughter-in-law Cathy Elmore, grandson Joseph Elmore, and dear friends Harold Jernigan and Janet Riley. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and a friend to many. She was a faithful servant of the Lord and was known for her warmth and hospitality. She enjoyed singing, working in her flower garden, decorating her home, cooking and baking for family and friends, and crafting.
She is survived by her sons Andy Elmore and Colby Elmore (Kim); grandchildren Ashley Hart (Ethan), Alex Lesnoff (Caleb), Emily McMullen, and James Elmore; step grandson Jonathan Brown-King; and great-grandchildren Molly Hart, Ava Lesnoff, and Sasha Lesnoff.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, October 9, 2025, at Hudson Funeral Home, 211 S. Miami Blvd., Durham, NC 27703. Interment will follow at Oak Grove Memorial Gardens in Durham, NC. Rev. Brad Talley will officiate.
Pallbearers; Jonathan Brown-King, James Elmore, Caleb Lesnoff, and Lane Riley.
The family will receive friends prior to the service starting at 1:00 P.M.
