Cedric Moore

Cedric Moore, 72, passed away peacefully on February 13, 2026, in Anderson, Indiana, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born on February 8, 1954, in Detroit, Michigan, to William and Otherine Moore. Cedric carried the strength of his upbringing with him throughout his life.

Cedric proudly served his country in the United States Army from 1972 to 1975 as a Sergeant during the post-Vietnam Era. His time in service reflected his leadership, discipline, and commitment to something greater than himself.

He later earned his Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and built a successful career as a General Manager for numerous restaurants. Of all the establishments he managed, his favorite was Red Lobster, where he took great pride in his work and the teams he led.

On July 19, 2019, he married the love of his life, Mia Johnson-Moore. Their marriage was filled with love, partnership, and cherished memories.

Cedric enjoyed all kinds of music and had a true passion for style. He was known as a sharp dresser who loved coordinating his outfits and completing his look with distinctive jewelry. His confidence and presence left a lasting impression wherever he went.

Above all, Cedric loved his family dearly. He treasured time spent with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him tremendous joy and pride. His strength, wisdom, warmth, and unmistakable sense of style will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Cedric is survived by his beloved wife, Mia (Johnson) Moore; daughter, Keisha (Brian) Howard; son, Cedric (Melissa) Martin; daughter, Kendra Johnson; son, Garrett Johnson; son, Stephan Johnson; grandchildren, Briana, Brianna, Dominique, Brian, Brandan, Elijah, Dequan, Lamarious, Justin, Kymani, Jace, Maddox, Javion, Josiah, Raylen, Jianna, and La'Kaius; great-grandchildren, Alayah, Isaiah, Carter, Serenity, Kaden, Kalaiyah, Emory, Nekiha, Dominique, and Elias; sisters, Jacqueline Moore and Ronnette Moore; and brother, Winston Moore.

He was preceded in passing by parents, William H. and Otherine Moore; sister, Shirley A Taylor; sister, Doris Hall; brother, Lorenzo Moore; brother, Ronald Moore; brother, Nathaniel Moore; brother, Haywood Moore.

Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27th, 2026, from 11:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Loose Funeral Homes & Crematory, 200 West 53rd Street, Anderson, IN 46013

The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM with Minister LaKeisha D. Howard officiating.

Cedric's final resting place will be at Marion National Cemetery

In honor of Cedric, all memorial contributions may go towards Mothering the Mother and Motherless Inc. A501C3 Non-Profit Charitable (tax-deductible) Organization.
