Cody Dean Clark

Cody Dean Clark, age 32, of Shirley, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, February 14, 2026, following a tragic accident. He was born Sunday, January 23, 1994, in Greenfield, Indiana, to Amy Jean (Hedrick) Clark and the late Michael Dean Clark, who was waiting with open arms to greet him in heaven.

Cody attended Eastern Hancock High School, where he played basketball and was a 2012 graduate.

After high school, Cody attended Ivy Tech college. Cody's field of employment was in the construction industry, working as a union CDL driver.

Cody enjoyed being outdoors. He loved to go to stock car races. He was a lover of all types of music and attended Realife Church in Greenfield, Indiana.

Cody also liked going to the casino with his mom until he started to lose. Cody was a gentle giant who fought fiercely for those he loved. Amy shared, "If Cody had love for you, you felt it without question in his handshake, his smile, his laugh, or his amazing 'Cody'-sized hugs, which the family will miss the most."

Cody is survived by his loving mother, Amy, who is grieving him immensely. Cody is also survived by his son, Bentley Jackson Dean Clark, and another son who is on the way. Also mourning the loss of Cody are his brother Michael M. (favorite sister-in-law Miranda) Clark of Muncie, Indiana; sisters Angie Laughlin of Pendleton, Indiana, and Deana Buttler of Anderson, Indiana; grandparents Melvin and Barbara Hedrick of New Castle, Indiana, aunt Susan Carl and uncle Mel Hedrick Jr.; nephews, Walker Clark, Houston Clark, Matt Buttler and Matthew (Hubba) Buttler; nieces Konner Kleinbub and Kourtney Krabbe; special cousin Gracie Carl; and numerous other cousins. Cody will also be sadly missed by all of his friends and family who loved him dearly.

In addition to Cody's father, Michael, he is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Janet (Williams) Hedrick, and paternal grandparents, Verlin and Alberta (Foor) Clark.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2pm to 4pm, with a funeral service to follow at Liming Family Funeral Home located at 306 Main Street in Shirley, Indiana. Pastor Marcus Schrader will be officiating the service.
