Michael Amos Obituary

It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Michael L. Amos, who departed this life on February 15, 2026, at the age of 71. Born on April 25, 1954, in Anderson, Indiana, to Otis and Linda (Seward) Amos, Michael lived a life rich with love, adventure, and cherished moments.

Michael worked at S & S Steel Services, where he worked as a forklift driver. Prior to this, he proudly served in the United States Army, demonstrating his commitment and service to his country. His mechanical skills extended beyond his job; he loved working on cars, building model cars, and embracing anything mechanical. Whether it was fishing or racing, Michael filled his life with passions that brought him joy.

Michael is survived by his loving sons: Mike Amos, Jayson Amos, Anthony Amos, Scott (Jennifer) Amos, Chris (Samantha) Amos, Kyle Amos and Otis Amos. He will be greatly missed by his grandchildren: Zach, Brandon, Gavin, Brianna, Cameron, Katelynn, Savannah, Alicia, Allisyn, Baylyn Voyles, and Ilana Shapiro, along with many great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews. Michael also held a special place in his heart for his close friend, Mary Sosnoskie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Linda Amos, and his former wife, Marilyn Rogers.

In celebration of Michael's life, family and friends will gather for a memorial service at a later date, with details to be announced. During this time, we will honor his legacy, share stories, and cherish the moments we had with this remarkable man.

Though he may have left this world, the spirit of Michael L. Amos will forever live on in the hearts of those he loved and who loved him. Let us celebrate his life and the joy he brought to us all.

Michael's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes and Crematory- Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel.
