Jo Ann "Albrecht" Nelson

Jo Ann (Albrecht) Nelson was welcomed home December 30, 2025. She was born February 6, 1955 in Victoria, Texas to the late Edward Albrecht and Ruby Albrecht.

Jo Ann began her professional journey in high school as a waitress at Dairy Treat. Following her graduation, she took on the role of bookkeeper at Dishengers, where she worked from 1973 until the business's closure in 1985. She then transitioned to St. Joseph's High School, serving as an attendance secretary from 1991 to 2003. After that, Jo Ann returned to bookkeeping at Health Force Home Health Care from 2003 to 2006, and subsequently worked as a caregiver for Gulf Bend until 2009. Her dedication to caring for others was evident in her personal life as well, as she provided support to her parents, sister, and daughter during their final days. Jo Ann's compassionate nature and commitment to those she loved will leave a lasting impact on all who knew her.

In addition to her parents, Jo Ann was preceded in death by her sister, Margie Strelczyk and daughter, Ruby Nelson.

She is survived by her sons, Randy Nelson of Victoria, Texas, Eddie Nelson of Missouri City, Texas; grandchildren, Sammy, Luke and Sadie Nelson; sister, Judy Shockley (Michael) of Victoria, Texas.
