Jo Ann Norman

Jo Ann (Smith) Norman, age 84, passed away on July 24, 2024, in Springer, Okla. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm, Monday, August 5, 2024 in the Chapel at Griffin ~ Hillcrest of Ardmore, Okla., with Pastor Dennis Aaron officiating. Interment to follow in Hillcrest Memorial Park, Ardmore.
Jo Ann was born on November 9, 1939, to E.W. "Red" Smith and Maggie Inez (Gilbert) Smith. She attended and graduated from Springer Schools. Jo Ann married the love of her life, Eddy Norman Jr., on May 26, 1957. She was a member of New Hope Church of God. Jo Ann loved spending time with her grandkids and going to their activities. She also enjoyed doing yardwork.
She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Eddy Norman Jr., daughter, Edie Jo Norman, nephew, Levi Lusk, niece, Stormy Lusk, sisters, Rosalie Wells, Linda Smith, and Wilma Adams, son-in-law, Kenny Adams, and extended family: Steve Hamilton and Paula Lowrey.
Jo Ann is survived by her children, Randall Norman, and wife, Ginny, Buddy Norman, and wife, Kelly, and Becky Bruce and husband, Rocky, grandchildren: Natosha Norman, Cooper Bruce, Dusty Norman, Colby Norman, Bailee Bruce, Brady Norman, Caleb Norman, Eddy Blue Norman, and Mandy Bruce, numerous great-grandkids, and great-great-grandkids. Sister, Nelda Harrison and husband, Jacky, extended family, Jalynn Landeros, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as casket bearers will be her grandchildren. Honorary bearers will be Leland Walker, Gary Walker, Ed Thayer, Buddy Lusk, Larry McDaniel, and Bill Crowell.
A visitation will be held from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm, Sunday, August 4, 2024 at Griffin ~ Hillcrest.
