Joan Ward Arrant

Joan W. Arrant was a caring wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. She left this world on June 10, 2023 at the age of 89.
She was born to Cyril and Doris Ward on August 30, 1933 in Lincolnshire, England. Joan met the love of her life, Angus G. Arrant, while he was stationed with the Air Force at Mildenhall, United Kingdom. Together, they had 2 children: Julie and Joanne.
Joan loved going to church, spending time in her garden, painting, traveling, spending time with family and friends, and volunteering at the Humane Society. All who knew Joan knew her love of animals, especially dogs, she passed this love to her children and grandchildren.
Joan is survived by her two daughters, Julie Bartley (Gary), Joanne Thompson (Johnny); three granddaughters, Amanda Trinidad (Hula), Heather Nowling, Carmen Thompson; one great-granddaughter, Zoe Trinidad; one sister, Valda Moses; and two brothers, Graham and Philip Ward. She is preceded in death by her husband, Angus, parents, Cyril and Doris as well as her brother, Terry.
Her service will be held at 9:00 AM, Wednesday, June 14, at Faith Chapel Funeral Home, 100 Beverly Parkway, Pensacola FL. Burial will follow at Barrancas National Cemetery
In lieu of flowers, the family prefers donations be made to the Pensacola Humane Society.
