Joan Balitz Obituary
Joan was born on June 17, 1952, to John and Marie Moska in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After
leaving school, she began her 50-year career in the supermarket industry and held numerous
manager roles, in stores throughout Pennsylvania and New Jersey. Afterwards, she turned her
passion for helping people into a career as a home healthcare care aid. She loved trips to Atlantic
City, online shopping, baking her famous Easter pies with her grandchildren and great-
grandchildren. And spending time with her fur babies, Shortie and Louie.
Joan was predeceased by her parents, her husband David Balitz, and her best friend of 45 years
James Pinto. She is survived by her brother Joseph Moska, her three children, Anthony Moska,
Joseph Kozlowski, and Nicole (Joseph) Magray. Also, her grandchildren Christine Wadsworth,
Jessica Reichle, Jade Kozlowski, Madison Moska, Piper Moska, Santino Kozlowski, and Joseph
Wagner-Kozlowski. She is also survived by her great-granddaughters Harper Wadsworth, Lana
Kozlowski, Davina Dixon, and Adaleigha Morgan.
There will be a visitation from 4pm to 6pm on Thursday, December 28, 2023 at GARDNER
FUNERAL HOME, RUNNEMEDE.
Memorial service 6pm at the funeral home.
