We were very sorry to learn of Joan’s death. She was a lifelong friend having attended church, Sunday School and all 12 years of school with my sister, Judy Anderson Olson Jongeling. She will be missed by all who knew and loved her.

Joan Hoyer Barry, age 82, went to be with the Lord on Monday, November 24, 2025. She was born on September 8, 1943, to the late Hans and Lottie Hoyer.
She loved being a Mom to her two children, Trish and Lance. Because of Mom’s relationship with Jesus, we learned first hand to know our Heavenly Father’s Perfect Love. All her years, she continually put her children before herself, even up to her last days. Although Mom’s life wasn’t always easy, a gift of faith brought her home into our Savior's arms.
Mom received new life in the early 1990s when she surrendered hers to Jesus. The years studying God’s Word, sharing Holy Spirit revelation and praying together are among my most cherished memories. The highlights of meaningful verses and her hand written note throughout her Bibles will forever be priceless treasures.
Preceded in death by her daughter Trish, parents Hans and Lottie, brother and sister-in-law Richard and Donna, along with a nephew.
She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law Lance and Jane, brother and sister-in-law Roger and Caren, along with a niece and nephews.
