Rock Hill, South Carolina - Mrs. Joan Horton Byrdic, 87, passed away on Friday, February 23, 2024 at Carolina Gardens of Rock Hill.
The funeral service will be held at 2:30 pm on Wednesday, February 28, 2024 at Greene Funeral Home Northwest Chapel, 2133 Ebenezer Road, Rock Hill, SC with Reverend Steve Holler officiating. Burial will be in Grandview Memorial Park, 620 South Cherry Road, Rock Hill.
Born in Davis Station, SC, Mrs. Byrdic was the daughter of the late William Everrette Horton and the late Edna Chewing Horton. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Francis Monroe Byrdic, Sr., their son, Francis Monroe Byrdic, Jr., her brother, William Everrett Horton, Jr., Frances Horton Elliott. She was retired from Piedmont Medical Center. She was a member of Woodland United Methodist Church.
Mrs. Byrdic is survived by her daughter, Cheryl A. Byrdic of Rock Hill, SC; two granddaughters, Hannah and Bonnie; two great-grandchildren, Ruthie and Gideon.

Cheryl, I was so sorry to hear about the death of Joan. I had lost contact with most of my old friends in Rock Hill, But I do have fond memories of Joan. She was such a pleasure to be around!
