Joan F. Campbell, a beloved dietician who dedicated her career to the John J. Foley Nursing Home in Yaphank, passed away peacefully on May 27, 2025, at the age of 66 in Patchogue, New York. Born on July 14, 1958, in New York, Joan's life was a testament to her passion for serving others, particularly in her role at the nursing home where she made a significant impact on the lives of her patients and their families.
Joan was a proud high school graduate, embracing education as a pivotal part of her life journey. Her warmth, kindness, and unwavering dedication to her profession were evident in all that she did, leaving a lasting legacy in the community she served.
She leaves behind her loving husband, George Campbell, and her cherished children, Adam English and Francine English. Joan was also a devoted grandmother to her three grandchildren, Amarion, Shea, and Terrellana, who brought joy and light into her life. She was a beloved sister to Richard Miller, Andrew Miller and Janice Miller, and a cherished aunt to Tracey and David. Joan is preceded in death by her parents, John and Alberta Miller, whose love and guidance played an integral role in shaping the person she became.
A visitation will be held in her honor on May 30, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Mangano Family Funeral Home of Middle Island, located at 640 Middle Country Rd, Middle Island, NY. This will be followed by a prayer service at the same location, beginning at 11:00 AM and concluding at 11:45 AM.
Joan F. Campbell will be remembered not only for her professional contributions but also for her loving spirit and the indelible mark she left on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.
