Joan Ann Campbell passed away peacefully on January 29th 2026, after a long battle with Alzheimer's disease. Joan, who was nicknamed "Toy" since childhood, was born November 01, 194,5 to Robert Crandall and Lucille Crandall (Cote) in Panama. After moving to Toledo, Joan attended Whitmer High School and then attended Stautzenberger College.

Joan married Harold M. Campbell and had four children. Harold (Bob) R. Campbell, Kenneth A. (CarrieAnne) Campbell, Steven C. (Shannon) Campbell and Heather L. Clutter (Douglas). Joan was a passionate and loving mother who was heavily involved in her children's lives. After the divorce from Harold, Joan moved to Florida and met Robert Schaffer whom she had a 20-year relationship. She had several hobbies, including sewing and gardening.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Lucy, oldest son Robert and partner Robert Schaffer. She is survived by her sister Linda (Crandall) Budzilek (Florida), son Ken (CarrieAnne), Steven (Shannon), and Heather (Douglas). Grandchildren Lindsey (Logan), Zachery (Lauren), Marissa, Kameron (Jacob), Alexandia (Daniel), Grant, and great-grandchildren, Emory, Emmelou, and Madilyn. The family would like to thank Parkcliff Memory Care in Northwood and Elara Caring Hospice for the care they provided to Mom during this difficult time. The family would like to suggest a donation to the Alzheimer's Association in her name.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
