Miss Joan Watkins Church, 62, of Monroe, Georgia departed this life on Wednesday April 3rd, 2024. She passed peacefully at home surrounded by loved ones. Joan was born in Alexandria, Virginia to her parents John B. Watkins and Marilyn L. Watkins. Joan was a woman of steadfast and inspiring faith, she was filled with joy, love, and kindness, and cared deeply for every person in her life. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
She is survived by her loving partner of 8 years, Dave Anderson, her two blessed daughters, Kayla Scullion (Alex), Durango, CO, and Kendra Walraven (Logan), Jefferson, GA, her loving dad, John B. Watkins Jr., Atlanta, GA, her mother, Marilyn L. Watkins Buckhead, GA, and her loving brother James Walker Wright, Woodstock, GA.
She is preceded in death by the loving wife of John B. Watkins of many years, Mary of Dale Watkins, and her siblings William Howard Wright, and Peggy Lynn Wright.
