Joan M. Cronin passed away peacefully on May 12, 2025. She was 91 years old. Daughter of the late John and Mary (Roche) Sullivan, she was born on May 25, 1933, in the Bronx, NY.
Joan was a proud member of Sacred Heart Church in Highland Falls and the Ladies Ancient Order of Hibernians, Division #2.
Left to cherish her memory are her children: Daniel Cronin of Las Vegas, NV; Joan Messinger and her husband, Michael, of Peekskill, NY; and Mary Parker and her husband, Graham, of Boston, MA; beloved grandchildren: Henry, Sarah, Myles, Sage, and Daniel Jr.; many nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, and close friends in Highland Falls who were like family. In addition to her parents, Joan was also predeceased by her devoted husband, Jeremiah Cronin, son, John Cronin, and many beloved siblings.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at William F. Hogan Funeral Home, 135 Main St., Highland Falls, NY. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main St., Highland Falls, NY. Interment will follow at Eagle Valley Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Sacred Heart Church, 353 Main St., Highland Falls, NY 10928.
