Joan David Obituary
Born July 13, 1929, in St. Cloud, Minn., she was a devoted wife and mother. Joan was communicant of St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church and an active member of Our Lady's Guild. Joan also taught children to prepare for their First Communion for well over 50 years.
Joan also served the community by acting as the moderator in a number of elections.
She is survived by her husband Edward of 74 years; her children, Suzanne Cole, Yvonne, John and Steven; three grandsons; and one great-grandson. She will be sorely missed.
There will be no calling hours, burial will be private. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 11, at her church, St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer in Groton. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. The Mystic Funeral Home is assisting the family.
