I met Joan over 20 years ago when I moved to Florida. I had no idea she was sick or that she had passed away. I was actually searching for her on the internet when I came across her obituary. She was a wonderful person who touched many lives and I know she'll be missed. Condolences to her family. RIP Joan.

Hey, Joan! I had no idea your illness returned and that you were gone❣based on your faith, alone I thought you had many more years ahead of you! I just want to thank you for everything you did for me even when you didn't have to. I already know you're resting in paradise!❤

Dr. Pedro was my psychologist in Georgia. I am still in mourning from the news of her passing. Dr. Pedro was not just my doctor. She had become a reliable spiritual confidant. I know she wouldn't want me to be sad about her transition, but I also know that her profession would grant the understanding and wisdom to know how deeply she touched my heart. I truly believe that her presence on the other side has knowledge of my sincere love and appreciation for all that she did for me. Rip my sister! I'll never forget you!

Dr. Joan:
You impacted my life in a profound and glorious way. You exemplified the true example of a Social Innovator and a Change Agent. You will be missed. Thank you for an indelible journey. RIP

The fight is o'er, the battle done. Now you are at rest in the arms of Jesus,
your Saviour, where all will be peace forevermore. We love you but Jesus
loves you more. Rest in peace, my friend.

Very sorry for your loss; even though we just recently met, please be aware that others, including myself will keep you and your family in thought and prayer. May God give you the strength needed at this time. (Psa. 46:1) Doc was my most trusted confidant. We shared the same spiritual and professional path. It was like i was her assignment. We met at New Direction Institute where she was my supervisor, and I her willing student. That friendship blossomed as she saw me through the process of obtaining licensure. She was a very supportive friend and gave of herself willingly. I loved her fiercely. She is gone but will never be forgotten.

On behalf of the Church of Jars of Clay in Atlanta we acknowledge the void of our Associate Pastor Dr. J, we acknowledge the absence here on earth of a powerful intercessor and amazing woman of God, we acknowledge the absolute void in our counseling and comfort department. We have this comfort, that God has a mighty warrior on His staff, an amazing praise dancer at His side and a friend that will stick closer than anyone! We love you faithful sister-
