Joan Theresa Dreske

Joan Theresa Dreske, a beacon of love and dedication, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 18, 2025 in Wyandotte, Michigan at the age of 93. Born on August 4, 1932, in Detroit, Joan spent much of her life nurturing her family as a devoted homemaker. In later years, she took on the role of administrator in her doctor’s office, demonstrating her unwavering commitment to support her daughters, Linda Valade, Diane Dreske, and Lisa (Wally) Grodzicki, who were her pride and joy.

Joan was known for her loving and caring nature. She brought warmth to every room and touched the hearts of those fortunate enough to know her. Her devotion to her family was only matched by her dedication to her faith. A devout Catholic, Joan lived her beliefs with grace and fervor, creating a steadfast foundation for her loved ones.

Her vibrant spirit extended beyond her family; she found joy in the thrill of gambling, relishing every moment spent at casinos, playing bingo, and purchasing scratch-off tickets. These hobbies brought her happiness and laughter, connecting her with others who shared her passions.

Joan's legacy is carried on by her daughters, who will forever cherish the memories of their loving mother. She is preceded in death by her beloved parents, John and Anna Stafiej, and her dear sisters, Dolores (the late Richard) Dulimba and Virginia (the late Nick) Stankov. Though they are no longer with her, their love shaped the incredible woman Joan became.

In remembrance, we celebrate Joan Theresa Dreske's life—a life marked by deep love, unwavering faith, and cherished connections. Her memory will continue to live on through her family and friends, echoing in their hearts as a testament to a life well-lived.

Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to the Trenton Chapel of the Martenson Family of Funeral Homes located at 3200 West Road, 48183. The family will hold a Memorial Mass in Joan’s honor at a later date. Please check back for details in the following months.
