Joan M Effinger

Joan M. Effinger (Beuchat) age 95 of Minerva passed away February 28,2024. Joan was born January 7, 1929 in Canton, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph Beuchat and Martha (Hingle) Shortridge. She was a member of New Franklin United Methodist Church. She retired from Family Fun Corp as their bookkeeper after more than 50 years of service. She enjoyed mowing, gardening, feeding the birds, reading and "games of chance" with her late husband Gene and longtime friend Margaret Drey. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother and will be forever missed.
Joan is survived by her daughter, Beth (Mark) Blanc of Canton; grandchildren, Andrew (Bonnie) Berg of Canton, Alyssa Blanc (Ryan) of Columbus; sister-in-law, Joyce Effinger of Canton and many nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Gene; daughter, Cindy Stout; brother, Joe Beuchat; sister, Mary Nording; and her beloved dog, Tula.
Graveside services for Joan will be conducted Friday, March 8, 2024 at 11:00a.m. in Moultrie Cemetery with Pastor Chris Ulman of New Franklin United Methodist Church officiating. Arrangements are by direction of Paquelet-Falk Funeral Home in Louisville. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to New Franklin United Methodist Church.
