Mary Joan Hall Wyatt Yeates Erickson passed away peacefully in her home in Garland on September 26, 2023 surrounded by family and loved ones.

Joan was born on April 28, 1939 in Wellsville to Thomas L. Wyatt and Elisabeth (Libby) Hall Wyatt and the youngest of 10 children. She graduated from South Cache High School in 1957. During her school years she received many awards, honors, citations for her outstanding achievements.

She married Ronald Tibbits Yeates in 1958 in the Logan LDS Temple. They made their home in Smithfield and had five children. They later divorced. Joan continued to excel in her career with the Box Elder County Nursing Home as a Nurse's assistant and Activity Director. She then met the love of her life Jack Erickson. They married in March 1988 and lived happily until Jack's untimely death. She then spent the next 29 years loving and raising her family.

Joan is survived by her sister Margaret Baily; her children Mike (Lori) Yeates, Melanie Wayment, Ronald Yeates, Brent (Keri) Yeates; 19 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Jack Erickson, daughter, Brenda Copeland, three brothers, five sisters, two grandchildren, two great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at 11 A.M. Viewings will be held on Monday, October 2, 2023 from 6-8 P.M. and prior to the service on Tuesday from 9:30-10:30 A.M. All services will be held at Rogers & Taylor Funeral Home (111 N 100 E, Tremonton). Sack lunches will be served following the services prior to the procession to the Brigham City Cemetery. The service will be livestreamed and may be accessed below.
