Joan Claudette (Mabry) Fox, age 72 of Kingman and formerly of Tilton, Illinois, passed away on Sunday, March 16, 2025, at home while surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Urbana, Illinois on December 2, 1952, to the late Frank Harry & Florida Edora (Followell) Mabry.
Joan graduated from Champaign Central High School in Illinois. On August 10, 1974, she married Lewis Arlen Swallow, they later divorced. On July 10, 1986, she married Ted Bill Fox; he preceded her in death on October 23, 2015. Throughout the years she was a housekeeper and worked several jobs. She enjoyed crocheting, baking, going for a ride for her "cheesebooga" and rides through the park, but most of all she loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and her dog, Penny Sue.
She is survived by her daughter, Angela Aldridge of Kingman; five grandchildren, Andi (Tiffany Church) Acree, Ashley Acree, Dusten Burke, Zachery Burke, and Brysen Acree; many special great grandchildren; two sisters, Jeannie (Danny) Everette of Texas and Paulette (Gary) Slade of Champaign, Illinois; and a few nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her first husband, Lewis; her second husband, Ted; and her beloved dog, Penny Sue.
Cremation was chosen with a visitation at Sanders Funeral Care, 203 S 1st Street, in Kingman on Saturday, March 22, 2025, from 1:00pm till the time of the celebration of life service at 2:00pm with Pastor Tim Lyons officiating. Share memories and condolences online at www.SandersFuneralCare.com.
