Joan Fraser Obituary
On Saturday, March 2, 2024, Joan Elizabeth Fraser of Garland, NC, formerly of Glen Burnie, MD passed away peacefully with family by her side. Beloved wife of the late Thomas C. Fraser, loving mother of Peggy F. Swift and her husband Thomas. Devoted grandmother of Stacy Lombardi, Kristan Hanson, Kimberly Saunders, Ashley Twardowski and Amanda Opitz. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren and many other family members and loving friends. Mrs. Fraser was also preceded in death by her parents; Elizabeth G. Lober and George Gordon Dietz, her daughter; Linda L. Evans, a grandson, Christopher Shelton and a great-grandson, Hayden Evans.
Joan was a member of the Ladies Auxillary Ferndale Volunteer Fire Department and a graduate of Seton High School. She loved playing Bingo and enjoyed being with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.Family and friends are invited to gather at the Singleton Funeral & Cremation Services, PA, 1 2nd Avenue, SW ,(at Crain Highway), Glen Burnie, MD 21061 on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Where a Celebration of Life Funeral Service will be held on Thursday March 14, 2024, at 21061 at 12:30 pm. Her Committal Service and Interment will follow at the Maryland Veterans Cemetery, 1122 Sunrise Beach Road, Crownsville, MD 21032. If desired, Memorial Contributions may be made in her name to St. Jude's Children’s Research Hospital, Memphis, TN. www.st.jude.org
