Seneca, South Carolina - Wanda Joan Freeman Grant, age 69, passed away peacefully at her residence on November 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family.
Born October 19th, 1956, in Oconee County, South Carolina, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Freeman and Bessie Moore Freeman. Joan retired from Kendall, where she worked faithfully as a seamstress for over 22 years. She had a deep passion for sewing and was known for her skill, creativity, and love of crafting things for those she cared about. Joan was of the Baptist faith and cherished time spent with her family.
She is survived by her son, David Grant of Seneca; and her siblings, Wayne Freeman, Harold Freeman, Pat Austin, Evelyn Nelson, and Judy Boggs.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her son, Timothy "Tim" Grant; and her siblings, William Freeman, Carl Freeman, Roy Freeman, and Sara Fincannon.
In keeping with Joan's wishes, a private family service will be held, with burial to take place at First Baptist Memorial Park.
In lieu of flowers, memorials in Joan's memory may be made to a charity of one's choice. The family is at their respective homes. Condolences may be expressed online by visiting www.sandiferfuneralhome.com.
